Matt Burke

Managing Partner

Matt Burke is Managing Partner at Center Street Finance. Matt began his career in consumer finance at SFG Finance, a subsidiary of a publically traded Texas bank.  During his tenure at SFG, Matt was the manager of Brand Management and special projects.  Matt lead the group that created and implemented new financial products for car dealers and finance companies. While at SFG, Matt also spent time in portfolio acquisitions, risk management, collections, and compliance designing seamless branding and processes.  Matt has sourced over $4 billion in loans over his career in consumer finance.  Prior to SFG, Matt provided investment analyses for Cowtown Angels (a Fort Worth based angel network), was the CEO of University Game Day, LLC dba TCU Game Day, and Parks Production Company, an award-winning entrepreneurial business.

As an entrepreneur, Matt has owned and operated many different types of businesses, which has allowed him to develop a diverse background in customer service, leadership, and networking skills vital to business development.

Chris Hawke

Managing Partner

Chris joined Center Street Finance in 2015 as partner and Managing Director.  At Center Street, Chris oversees the firm’s capital markets and business development efforts working with larger financial institutions including broker dealers, commercial banks, private equity funds, hedge funds and other private investors.

Prior to joining Center Street, Chris was a partner and co-founder of Trinity Resource Partners – a specialized advisory and consulting firm assisting companies in a variety of sectors with business development, strategy and access to capital.  From 2009 to 2013, Chris was a Managing Director with FG Companies - a boutique broker dealer providing investment banking services in the consumer finance, commercial finance and specialty finance sectors.  Before FG Companies, Chris worked as a Principal in Bank of America’s Asset Securitization & Principal Investing Group.  At BofA, Chris co-headed a team responsible for originating and executing underwriting mandates for asset-backed securitizations and proprietary investments on behalf of the firm across a wide spectrum of commercial finance, consumer finance and esoteric asset classes.

Chris began his investment banking career at Citigroup in the Asset-Backed Finance Group completing numerous public and private underwriting mandates for term securitizations, warehouse lines, residual financing facilities and other credit facilities and then in the Principal Finance Group focusing on purchases of consumer finance and commercial finance loan portfolios and other special situation proprietary investment opportunities.  Before investment banking, Chris practiced as an attorney at Thacher Proffitt & Wood where he represented underwriters, issuers, rating agencies, investors and lenders in securitizations, structured financings and assorted other corporate finance matters.

Chris holds Series 24, 7 & 63 licenses from FINRA.  Chris earned a BA in Political Science from Amherst College as well as a JD from Fordham University School of Law.| Office 682-777-2005

Jessica Allen


Jessica Allen is a Partner at Center Street Finance and oversees Risk Management and Loan Servicing. Jessica manages ongoing engagements with our capital markets clients, providing them with numerous services. These include portfolio management, valuation, cash-flow projections, reporting, and consulting services. As a portfolio manager, Jessica is an intricate part in saving clients time and money because of her attention to detail and extensive knowledge of auto finance.

Jessica has been in the consumer finance industry for over 10 years and has held many key positions throughout the industry, gaining a vast amount of experience and understanding of the inner workings of operations and risk management. Jessica has reviewed over 6 billion dollars of consumer finance loans over her career so far.

Jessica began her career at Nuvell Financial in 2007. While at Nuvell, Jessica managed front-end through backend delinquency. Jessica also created and managed various skip tracing and loss mitigation techniques.

In 2009, Jessica started with SFG Finance. Jessica managed the recourse process and Loan Servicing on multiple newly purchased loan portfolios of more than $100 million. Jessica moved from the management of the recourse portfolios into overall risk management for the SFG managed portfolio. Her responsibilities included portfolio pricing, daily and monthly analysis of management and operational reports, loan servicing risk mitigation training, trend analysis, static pool and risk mitigation strategies. Jessica worked closely with senior executive management on many special projects and was the architect of a cutting-edge customer service incentive and headcount model. Jessica also led a team of 14 employees for community reinvestment and charitable projects.

In 2011, Jessica earned her degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in Management. In 2016, Jessica earned a Master of Business Administration from Texas Women’s University. | Office 682-777-2007

James W (Jim) Bass

SVP Business Development

Jim has served in the subprime auto finance industry for over 25 years. He has been the CEO or President of Auto One Acceptance Corporation (acquired by California Federal Bank);, Inc., an early all online auto finance company; Auto One Acceptance, LLC, an auto finance company specializing in serving Hispanic owned dealerships; SVP of Driver Select, an innovative independent auto dealership in Dallas; Director of Vendor Compliance for First Investors Financial Services; and SVP of Center Street Finance, LP, a multi-faceted portfolio analysis, acquisition and servicing company. Jim was a Board of Directors member of Travelers Leasing, a subprime finance company in Vancouver, BC, until its acquisition by Scotia Trust Bank.

He is a founder of the National Automotive Finance Association, and has served in several capacities including President, Chairman, and is currently an Executive Committee and Board of Directors Member. He was the recipient of the National Automotive Finance Association’s first Industry Excellence Award at the annual NAF Conference on June 2, 2010.


Jim is a frequent speaker at Auto Finance Conferences as well as a contributing author in auto finance industry trade publications. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (Texas) and resides in Arlington, Texas. | Office 682-777-2016

Bob Autrey


With over 30 years’ experience in the retail auto and auto finance industry, Bobby has worked in nearly every aspect of the business including sales, credit and loan servicing. Additionally, he has an extensive background in Information Technology and recently served as the Vice President of IT, then as Chief Information Officer of SFG Finance.

Bob started his career in the Buy-Here-Pay-Here industry as a credit and F&I specialist. In 1991 he became the Senior Credit Manager of One Hour Acceptance responsible for the purchase of millions of dollars of indirect, sub-prime auto paper. In 1995 he left OHA to help start FSB Financial and served as the VP of Credit and Collections. FSB Financial started off as primarily an indirect lender but quickly transitioned into bulk acquisitions. Bob has led several sub-prime buys from banks, credit unions, and captive finance companies nationwide. In his Loan Servicing role, he was responsible for the in-house management of the loan portfolios as well as establishing successful-collector profiles, hiring, onboarding and training, managing, measuring success, and creating incentives for loan servicing reps.

In 2007, Bob joined SFG Finance serving as the VP of Credit and IT and worked on building both the IT infrastructure and loan portfolio until 2011 when he became SFG’s Chief Information Officer until leaving to join Center Street Finance in August of 2014. | 682-777-2006
